LET GO, SURRENDER AND LET GOD WORK!
LET GO, SURRENDER AND LET GOD WORK!
Prayer Retreat for Men and Women who are Professionals and have Marriage and Family on their minds.
One of the most interesting aspect of Counseling for me is listening to how Married or Pre-Marital Couples who may be at loggerheads now, met. When they start telling their stories, just start getting ready for one of the most fascinating stories of all times. Some Couples really have so much Good that has happened in their lives than bad, but the problem is they quickly forget ALL THE GOOD over one or two bad that they can’t get over, and at such times, part of what I do is to help them remember, because sometimes when we remember, it takes our minds back to WHY WE STARTED! And when we remember why we started, it gives us strength to Forgive, Forget, Heal, and START ALL OVER AGAIN if we have to, or just CONTINUE FROM THE GOOD PLACE where we stopped.
Now when you miss out the COINCIDENCES in their stories, you are likely to have missed out what makes it so Fascinating. Let’s look at Coincidence as “A sequence of events that although accidental seems to have been planned or arranged” or “A remarkable concurrence of events or circumstances without apparent causal connection”.
Which ever way you want to look at it, there’s obviously an occurrence of events or circumstances, which though may have involved a perfect plan or arrangement, and if you want to be truthful with yourself, you can’t take credit for it, because you seem not to have been in control.
Most of these Couples who tell me their stories always say “You know, when it happened, then I remembered when I was young I use to ask God to, or for…. then as I grew older I forgot completely about it, and so when this happened, I just remembered that THERE WAS A TIME I ASKED GOD FOR IT”.
Now this is what makes it more fascinating for me: THE FACT THAT GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS!
It’s no surprise that Jesus says in Luke 18:1 that MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY, AND NOT TO FAINT! Then Paul says in 1st Thessalonians 5: 16-18 that 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
F.B. Meyer says “The greatest tragedy is not unanswered pray, the greatest tragedy is unoffered prayer”.
God will have us to continue in prayer, not to weary us, but to exercise us; therefore we must fight against impatience so that a long delay does not cause us to quit our praying.
My name is Jerome Yaovi Onipede, I am a Relationship, Leadership and Retreat Guide. I am also a Matchmaker, and at “LET GO” , Men and Women who are Professionals and have Marriage and Family on their minds come together, and stay together for 30 hours in a Secure and Sanative Environment to SURRENDER AND LET GOD WORK. It’s also a time of making New Friends that can help us fulfill the Will of God for our lives.
William Temple says “when I pray Coincidences happen, and when I don’t, they don’t”.
…and I know what he is talking about, because through prayer, I have experienced God bringing Pleasant Surprises and Coincidence in my life. I know lots of people who have too, and I believe you can too.
Don’t forget that according to Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him”.
The next Prayer Retreat comes up on June 30th – July 1st 2018
